Walsall will be top at Christmas following the conclusion of today’s games.  The lead over 2nd placed Milton Keynes is down to 4 points and only 6 seperate us with 4th placed Swindon.  A very healthy 15 point lead still exists over 8th place.

Walsall have arranged two friendlies so new signing Par Cederqvist can get some games under his belt.  His season in Sweden finished on November 5th, since then Par has only had a weeks training with his new team mate. So, effectively Par is in his pre-season, with his ‘season opener’ on January 1st 2007 at Peterborough United.

The Super Saddlers have soared nine points ahead of 2nd place Lincoln City.  Three points seperate ‘The Imps, Swindon, MK, and Peterborough but 17 points seperate us from 8th placed Darlington and there is of course a massive goal difference in our favour.
