Walsall will not be in the draw for the First Round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on Saturday, after receiving a bye into the second round of the competition.  The Saddlers have been placed in the Northern section of the competition and join Bradford City, Bury, Crewe Alexandra, Doncaster Rovers, Hartlepool United, Sheffield United and Shrewsbury Town with a direct passage to the Northern Section Second Round.

The First Round draw will be made on Saturday 18th August, live on Sky Sports’ Soccer AM between 10.00am and 10.30am and will be split into four sections as below: -
