Walsall have announced former West Brom, Watford and Leicester City full back James Chambers has signed in time for our season opener against Doncaster Rovers this afternoon.

The signing has been long drawn out over the summer but his addition will be a major boost ahead of a tough opener to commence the League One season.

Chambers has played right back, left back, centre back and right wing in his career and links up with his brother Adam in The Saddlers squad
