Saturday opponents Doncaster Rovers have signed Billy Paynter from Leeds United for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old was transfer listed at the end of last season by manager Neil Warnock after failing to reproduce the form he displayed to earn him his move to Elland Road from Swindon Town two summers ago.
Paynter scored 26 goals for The Robins during the 2009-10 season, but found the net just three times in 27 league games since signing for Leeds.
He is Doncaster manager Dean Saunders’ second signing of the week after adding defender Jamie McCombe at the weekend
