Hereford United have signed Saddlers pre-season trialist midfielder Ashley Sammons.

The former Birmingham City and England Under-17 international, 20, was released by The Blues at the end of last season after making only one start for the club.

Sammons linked up with Walsall in July but was released by manager Dean Smith after featuring in pre-season friendlies

Hereford manager Martin Foyle said in unveiling his new signing:

“I’m pleased we’ve managed to bring Tom in, he has a lot of promising attributes.”
