Oldham manager Paul Dickov has revealled his frustrations after watching his side fail to see off The Saddlers.
After the 1-1 draw he told his club’s official website:
“We should have been comfortable and picked up the three points. We haven’t and the players have to learn lessons.
“We warned the boys at half time about the dangers of becoming sloppy, not to think they were better than they are and to do the right things.
“In the second half we gave away the ball too easily and stopped doing the things which got us in front and we conceded a horrendous goal.”
“I told the players to go out in the second half and not to take chances or over play, but it looked as though we wanted a stroll in the park and play at their pace.
Dickov also said he was unimpressed at his side failing to target David Grof following his mistake which saw the home side take the lead.
“After their goalkeeper made a mistake for our goal, you ought to be looking to test him as much as you can. We looked as though we wanted to pass it into the net which you cannot do at any level.
