Port Vale manager Micky Adams commented on an eventful night at The Banks’s Stadium that saw his side bounce back from 2 goals down to win a penalty shootout involving every player on the pitch.
Adams told his clubs official website http://www.port-vale.co.uk:
“I would have paid a tenner to watch that. From start to finish it was a game full of decent football, great chances created by both teams and good goalkeeping from both teams and lots of chances.
Adams also revealed he doesnt have fond memories of spot kicks to decide games:
“I have already lost two penalty shoot-outs as Port Vale manager and I lost my job at Brighton after a penalty shoot-out so I don’t really look forward to penalty shoot-outs.
Although victorious Vale’s manager rated one of his players as penalties as the worst he’s ever seen:
“I don’t want to talk about Louis Dodds’ penalty, it’s the worse one I’ve ever seen, but we deserved a bit of luck.”
